ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a self-directed and results-driven Inside Sales Engineer to join our Housto, TX office. You will assist the Commercial HVAC Sales organization with rapid and accurate responses involving pre-sale and post-sale support. You will also provide technical support to customers, engineers, and mechanical contractors.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review plans and specifications to develop HVAC systems solutions.
- Provide HVAC equipment selections, both new and replacements.
- Provide technical support for the sales of commercial air conditioning systems to customers and their respective consulting engineers.
- Seek new business opportunities by responding to RFQs for new and/or existing customers.
- Support Sales Managers and Sales Coordinators with new and existing accounts and introduction of new products.
TYPICAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other applicable, a technical field with 3 + years' HVAC or related experience; A Business degree will be considered.
- Associate's degree with 5 + years of HVAC or related experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 + years of HVAC experience or knowledge of HVAC designs; Commercial Applied Equipment experience a plus
- Excellent interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills; superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to handle multiple priorities.
- Unwavering customer service orientation.
- A strong work ethic is required, which includes positivity, a sense of responsibility, integrity, accountability, a sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, intellectual curiosity, and a sense of ownership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
