Inside Sales Rep
Job Description
Combined Group seeks a motivated candidate for our Inside Sales Rep opportunity in Dallas. This is a unique opportunity to earn a competitive salary while learning P&C wholesale insurance. The focus of the training program will be to increase new submissions, quotes, binders and premium over the phone.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Solicit, screen, appoint and train new agents
- Establish and maintain rapport with agents
- Follow-up and secure new and renewal business
- Resolve agent problems
- Assist Combined Group underwriters to place business; follow up on quoted accounts
- Establish and achieve agent production goals
- Meet the marketing call goals as part of USLI's 50/50 Sales Program
- Assist in preparation of marketing materials
- Attend trade shows and make in-person agent visits
- Perform other duties as assigned
Conduct 50 of outbound calls a day to appointed retail agents to drive new opportunities in, convert leads into submissions and turn quotes into bind orders. Make outbound phone calls on all quotes to cross sell products, communicate coverages and selling points to assist converting quotes into binders. Act as a liaison between markets and customers to negotiate favorable insurance quotes quickly and efficiently, and cross-sell additional coverages. Weekly reporting of sales calls and results is expected. Educate customers on quoting platforms and services. Contribute to other outbound marketing efforts including social media, webinars and email blasts Drive daily submissions goals and relay information to marketing team to maximize opportunities. Respond to customer emails and phone calls in compliance within service standards. Review web and phone quoting activity to spot trends positive and negative and address trends with customers and team. Establish an active relationship with Regional Sales Manager and regularly discuss strategy and tactics including training, sales issues and follow up. Pursue continuing education and insurance designations/licenses as outlined in the training and development plan. This will require self-study.
Travel
- 80% of time is spent on the phone with customers
- Occasional overnight travel required - Candidate expected to attend two week insurance boot camp and participate in two-day annual sales conference in Wayne, PA
- Not a work from home position
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- College degree OR equivalent business experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast paced environment
- Motivated, results-driven sales personality
- Open to coaching and continuous improvement
- P&C license or commitment to obtain P&C license within 60 days
