Greenlane, founded in 2005, is the leading distributor of premium brands in the burgeoning head shop, smoke shop, and dispensary channels. We devise bespoke go-to-market solutions as well as sales and marketing strategies for the best products in the industry and aid their manufacturers at every turn of the product life cycle. The Sales Representative will serve as the face and voice of our house and strategic brands direct to retail partners and is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing sales within an assigned territory. They will work with area sales managers and trade marketing to devise plans to increase product penetration and market awareness. This position manages records of customer information in Greenlane CRM and tracks the performance of goals and objectives. Additionally, this position will attend to customer service issues to preserve customers' satisfaction and retention.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Generating leads & opening new accounts while actively maintaining current book of business
- Inbound and outbound phone calls and sales
- Achieve and exceed sales metrics and revenue targets
- Overcoming objections and gaining sales penetration
- Negotiating pricing, promotions, and product placements
- Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders
- Maintaining accurate customer records in CRM
- Training clients on how to best sell each brand to promote sell through
- Providing excellent customer service to current and future clients
- Occasional travel to represent Greenlane at trade shows and visit accounts
Qualifications & Skills Required
- 1-3 years sales experience
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with clients
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
- Competency in Microsoft applications
- Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow-up effectively with attention to detail
- Knowledge of and passion for our products, our industry, and the culture we appeal to is a big plus!
