Job Summary

The Inside Sales Representative will be based in Northfield MN. Our inside sales team drives our company to find new customers, retain current customers, and develop innovative solutions for bettering our product and service. As an inside sales representative, you will play a crucial role in establishing relationships and marketing our company's brand in a positive, honest, and professional way.

The work you do on the phone is directly linked to successful outcomes resulting from customer retention and word-of-mouth sales. You will be an excellent fit for our team if you like to combine superior listening and communication skills with an outgoing personality to build instant rapport and further our business initiative. If you enjoy talking to people and helping people see the value in new products, this is the job for you!

What a typical day looks like:
  • Sourcing new sales through our inbound lead follow the process and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.
  • Researching and qualifying new leads utilizing Google and Hoovers.
  • Understanding customer needs and identifying sales opportunities
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information by email
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the Business Development team for further development and closure.
  • Using Data Analytics, you will work with marketing to ensure we are investing our marketing dollars wisely.
  • Close Sales and achieve quarterly goals
  • Research accounts identify key players, generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your database of leads
  • Documents Voice of the Customer into CRM system
  • Communicates with customers to resolve problems or issues.
  • Manages Sheldahl's forecast process.


The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • College Education is preferred.
  • Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.com.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong listening and sales skills.
  • Ability to achieve targets.
