Inside Sales Representative
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
As an Inside Sales Rep you will be engaging with potential and existing customers primarily through phone calls, emails, and web-based communication platforms to sell product. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, providing product information, handling inquiries, and closing sales, all while building and maintaining customer relationships.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Conduct research to identify potential customers and prospects, utilizing phone, email, and social media outreach to promote products.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Rockford Fastener’s capabilities and collaborate across sites to serve customers as a unified source.
- Work closely with sales, technical, and customer service teams to execute company's growth initiatives, leading sales project activities from quote to PO receipt.
- Support contract review, product realization, and order fulfillment processes, ensuring adherence to customer expectations and quotes.
- Collaborate with operations team to enhance processes and practices and assist engineers and estimators in compiling customer-oriented offers.
- Explain product value propositions, cost savings, and operational benefits to secure customer acceptance, backed by market research and detailed quote analysis.
- Manage new business opportunities, handling quoting, product specifications, internal coordination, cost estimates, and customer communication.
- Perform administrative tasks, reviewing and monitoring customer opportunities, while building strong relationships with clients.
- Conduct customer visits as necessary, attend trade shows, and provide training and support to fellow employees.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Excellent math, logic, and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer system skills with experience within Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Etc.) and ERP Systems (I.e., Epicor, SAP, Etc.)
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred; not required.
- 2-3 years’ experience in an individual contributor role, with the ability to act independently.
- Understanding of basic terminology within the fastener industry or the ability to learn.
