OPPORTUNITY

The primary purpose of this position is to manage existing smaller accounts and grow the business through new promotions, products, industries, or any other way that can be supported.  Performance Measures: Changes in volume, margin and revenue.

As an Inside Sales Rep., primary responsibilities include:

  • Grow and protect approximately 150 – 300+ current accounts. 
  • Participate in existing and promotional activities as directed by Sales Management.
    • Retention of business
    • New accounts
    • New product line sales
    • Sales of targeted products
    • Municipal bids
    • Solvent transactional calls
    • New product Promotions
    • Existing product promotions
    • Prospecting via phone
    • “Outside” selling and shadowing.  Very limited number of accounts and schedule approved by supervisor (use as a training tool)
    • Measurements:
    • Building positive relationship with decision-makers at accounts.
    • Utilizing detailed and comprehensive reviews of sales history data (12 month perspective) and reporting variances to manager.
    • Resolving customer service issues and complaints to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Successfully transition accounts to outside sales management.
  • Manage and Improve gross margins by:
    • Identifying competitive situations and negotiating a response that reflects Hydrite’s value-added proposition.
    • Using the Price Change Notification System, low margin alerts and other reports as a tool for margin maintenance and improvement.
    • Performance Measure:  Change in GM/LB

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • This position reports to Customer Service Director.
  • Works with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, TS&D and Corporate Purchasing.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA

  • College education strongly preferred. 
  • Past customer service or sales experience preferred.
  • Must possess computer skills and be proficient at Word, Excel, Powerpoint and job specific software.
  • Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
