As part of the Sales team, you'll help us solve challenges and succeed as you grow and understand the unique needs of our clients and tailor easy-to-use solutions to deliver the performance they need. With a position in Sales, you'll strengthen our relationships with clients, anticipate their needs, and think outside the box to unlock new possibilities.
Position Overview:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting and developing relationships with potential clients and closing new sales agreements. The Mid-Market Inside Sales Representative at Paylocity will work in a fast-paced business environment that is very competitive, quota-driven, and targets small & mid-sized businesses. Successful Inside Sales Representatives are capable of creating their own activity via the phone and constantly looking for that next sale. A strong predictor of success for an Inside Sales Representative, is someone who incorporates a consultative approach to their sales technique, has exceptional good prospective skills, the ability to be persistent, and has a passion for what is being sold!

Reports To: Manager of Inside Sales
Responsibilities:
The below represents some of the primary responsibilities of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Mid-Market Inside Sales division
  • Develop prospects through telemarketing, referrals, professional, personal contacts and other sources
  • Schedule and virtually present Paylocity services with prospective clients
  • Confidently take prospective clients through an entire demo of the product suite
  • Prepare and virtually present proposals and provide appropriate follow-up throughout the sales process
  • Accurately collect, prepare, and process documentation and complete administrative tasks required to implement clients on Paylocity's platform
  • Work directly with Implementation department ensure a smooth transition for clients
  • Collaborate with Internal and external partners to cross-sell products and services
  • Stay up-to-date on competitor knowledge and HCM industry trends
  • Maintain pipeline, update daily activity in Salesforce and submit forecast report weekly
  • Generate net-new business opportunities by leveraging the company's expertise, industry profile, and product suite
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas
  • Adopt and demonstrate consultative selling strategy and Paylocity sales process
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, required
  • 1-2 years of Inside Sales experience
  • Strong telemarketing skills
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment
  • Ability to maintain high activity standards
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills required in order to handle objections and unexpected situations that may arise throughout the sales cycle
  • Customer service orientation
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, preferred

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
