Inside Sales Specialist
Job Description
Hurco Companies, Inc. is looking for an Inside Sales Specialist to join our team at our Indianapolis, Indiana facility.
The Inside Sales Specialist is a key role that will be responsible for mapping and overseeing activities related to production scheduling, material/component planning, and logistics. This role will evaluate relevant sales order information to make critical decisions which may impact bottom line results. The position will be responsible for any other projects related to continuous improvement, process optimization, and supporting company initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
- Be the "face" of the division to Distributor personnel, regarding delivery logistics, timing, deliverables, and correctness of order and fulfillment.
- Develop production plans and schedules in conjunction with production following the most up to date sales order backlog. Review plans daily and make decisions to adjust production plans and establish priorities for machine shipments.
- Identify machine orders and planned shipments at risk due to capacity constraints; communicate risks to Production, Product Management, Sales Management and Distribution.
- Serve as the liaison with manufacturing/production, purchasing, third-party vendors, and sales organizations through all aspects of the scheduling and delivery of new machine orders.
- Continually analyze process and procedures for opportunities to eliminate waste, streamline for efficiency and utilization of emerging tools and techniques.
- Provide strategy direction and leadership of production order creation and management in order to define achievable delivery dates to customers and expediting orders when warranted.
- Lead initiatives to streamline and improve technical and sales related documentation to and for Distribution network. Activities could include but are not limited to evaluating communication alternatives, new product introduction teams, et al.
- Manage Inventory Transfers per established procedures and in accordance with requirements of Accounting Department.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of related experience.
- Ability to lead strategic recommendations and implement change management to improve processes to reduce cost, optimize production, and meet monthly/quarterly/annual shipment goals.
- Ability to lead the translation of Sales and Operating Plan to tactical execution of production orders that support delivery targets while meeting business sales, cost, and inventory targets.
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to effectively collaborate, delegate, reason, and influence at all levels.
- Proven ability to problem-solve with use of data analysis.
- Ability to work as a part of a cross-functional team.
- Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
