Your role in helping us shape the future:
As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will be a key member of the Intelsat Government Solutions business development team. You will be responsible for providing stellar service to US Government customers and satellite solution providers who have are seeking to acquire Starlink and/or Starshield Low Earth Orbit (LEO) terminals and service. The Inside Sales Specialist will manage the customer acquisition process from prospect pre-qualification, initial customer engagement through the proposal phase, contracting process, and eventual hand off to the Intelsat Starshield service delivery team.
In this role you will have the opportunity to identify customer needs and manage the commercial process for sales of Starshield services from proposal to close. When appropriate, you will provide insight to Business Development Directors to tailor personalized solutions for more complex customer requirements.
Are you up to the challenge?
  • Utilize your tactful inquiring skills while contacting leads to identify customer needs and follow-up requests
  • Respond to customers requesting product information, pricing, availability and other related information
  • Owning the business process from proposal through contract execution.
  • Manage assigned customer accounts and collaborate with Business Development Directors to support new business generation.
  • Collect market intelligence to assist the commercial team generate new leads/opportunities
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to find creative solutions to customer requests
  • Maintain accurate SalesForce data: accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and forecasts
  • Main area of responsibility is responding to requests for Starshield Terminals and Service, to include renewal activity for existing customers.
  • Maintain record track of leads that come thru the lead management system and convert to opportunities.
  • Assist with the preparation of Sales presentations and reports when needed

You should definitely have:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Marketing, Business or Business Development function
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong people skills and ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Good questioning and needs identification skills
  • Self-motivated attitude and initiative
  • Ability to make successful and creative presentations to both internal management and customers
  • Strong time management skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Basic understanding of satellite communications or aptitude to learn these concepts
  • Strong computer skills
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee).
