Insights Analyst, Payment Operations
Job Description
As an Insights Analyst for the Payment Operations team, you will play a vital role within all customer-facing teams at Melio. Working closely with Payment Operations, CX Operations Data team, and Client Services leadership, you will be a key driver and partner throughout Melio’s Payment Operations Team by supporting new and ongoing initiatives.Â
This role is essential in leveraging data to extract objective and insightful data-backed decision making throughout the organization and ensure we are scaling the business in a clear and direct way. As a Payment Operations Insights Analyst, you will play an essential role in performing statistical analysis of large amounts of transactional data to seek opportunities to optimize the process to drive automation with quality
How you’ll make an impact:
- Work with Payment Operations stakeholders to fully scope business goals and requirements
- Tackle large and complex datasets and structures, transforming them into actionable, objective insights to support strategic decision making
- Draft and consult on bottom-up and top-down research to support leadership in near/medium/long-term planning
- Monitor organizational performance, run ad-hoc analysis, and provide Payment Operations leadership with proactive recommendations for improving team efficacy
- Develop analyses and dashboards to succinctly communicate information to stakeholders across the data literacy spectrum
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to drive implementation, track progress, and assess impact
- Become a data expert in your Payment Operations business area
What we’d love to see:
- 1-2 years of experience working with and analyzing data, preferably alongside operations, financial, and/or payment operations teams
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and extract actionable insights from large sets of data
- Clear communication skills for conveying complex information across varying degrees of detail where needed
- Experience utilizing and connecting information across multiple tools and softwares to produce a variety of reports
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments
- Comfortable using SQL regularly and a clear understanding of data-relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills and a naturally curious mind within a high-velocity SaaS environment
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, along with business-facing dashboards and/or data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Looker
- Experience working on business projects focusing on performance, growth, and retention
Compensation, Benefits and Perks:
- Base compensation range is $81,000 - $95,000
