Who we are looking for
Within the Product Merchandising and DSM (Demand Supply Management) Analytics team, part of the broader Commercial Analytics team within APLA (Asia Pacific and Latin America) Insights & Analytics, we are looking for an Insights & Analytics Manager I, Sports Dimensions.

The ideal candidate will be an analytics specialist who has a robust eye for business and a consistent track record in creating and delivering insights to inform strategy and everyday decisions. Someone with love for data and ability to transform it into important narratives using visualization tools and statistic principles. Someone that can work independently connecting with stakeholders while prioritizing and leading concurrent projects and dealing with ambiguity.

Strong candidates need to be able to develop capabilities using SQL and Snowflake to build data products and Tableau to create production level Dashboards. Python language, other analytical tools and innovative approach to analytics are a plus!

What you will work on
You will be in direct contact with our business partners to learn and understand their priorities and need for insights. Your regular work week will include
  • Support business partners access to insights by being a facilitator that help them find and understand the information inside dashboards and self-service tools created by reporting team.
  • Be a thought partner for Sport Dimension teams for anything related to analytics
  • Help define questions and hypotheses to inform strategy and business decision
  • Dive into different data sets (orders, point of sales, market share, line plans, etc) to create compelling visualization (Tableau, SQL, Snowflake) and stories to advise decisions.
  • Create innovative Proof of Concept for analytics services including data layer, new metrics and production quality dashboards
  • Create insights to support Code and Sync moments led by Consumer Insights lead.
Who you will work with
As this is a multi-functional role you will partner with a wide range of teams and team-mates, both inside and outside Insights & Analytics. You will work closely with the leaders in the Sport Dimension teams, including Merchandising and Demand and Supply Management. Inside Analytics you will work closely with the Consumer Insights managers. The Nike Direct Analytics and Marketplace Partners Analytics teams, as well as the Reporting & Data Enablement team and the other teams in Commercial Analytics. This role works with the Director APLA Product Merchandising and DSM Analytics.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
  • An analytical attitude. Passion for data and ability to transform data into a story.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analytics, or a mix of business functions like planning or merchandising and analytics.
  • Proficient skill level in methods and best-practice tools for data wrangling (e.g., SQL, Snowflake), and synthesis for partner presentation (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with forecasting and machine learning (e.g., R, Python, SAS) and statistical analysis such as hypothesis testing (e.g., R, STATA), are a plus.
  • Experience analyzing data and driving insights to inform business decisions in areas like product, merchandising or planning.
  • Shown ability to work in multi-functional teams with multiple concurrent priorities. Experience on agile environments a plus.
  • Deep understanding of applied statistics, and experience in the valuation and definition of new measures, and the translation of business goals.
  • Skilled communicator who can express sophisticated concepts and ideas in a simple manner (written, presentation and verbal)
