Institutional Loan Sales, Director

Job Purpose:

BTIG seeks a Director to join the Institutional Loan Sales group. The ideal candidate possesses strong client relationships to cover CLO’s, Mutual Funds, and Hedge Funds that invest in the Loan Market.  This role will primarily focus on trading secondary loans but will also involve opportunities to sell privately placed and syndicated originations.  The candidate should have ample credit skills and be able to show evidence of a successful track record.   The ideal candidate will work primarily with loan traders and other loan specific salespeople as well as, the opportunity to trade other leveraged finance products.  Candidates who are self-starters, team orientated and entrepreneurial will thrive in this dynamic team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ability to successfully leverage existing relationships and cultivate new relationships
• Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and impact on the business.
• Effectively partner with other asset class teams to promote cross-selling across the firm
• Work with mid-office and sales assistants to ensure that trades are captured and confirmed in a timely fashion

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; MBA and/or CFA a plus
• Minimum of 5+ years of Institutional Loan Sales work experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
• Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Self-starter
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
