Instructional Design Consultant

Summary: We are looking for an expert in instructional design and technology integration to help us build next generation integration guides for educators and trainers to better integrate Transfr immersive VR and online content into their career exploration and training programs.

Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive lesson plans aligned with specific integration guide topics.
• Design interactive activities that utilize Transfr VR and online content to reinforce key learning points from the simulations and integration guide styles.
• Ensure lesson plans and activities are learner-centered, accessible, and adaptable to different learning environments.
• Develop materials that are visually appealing, well-organized, and easy to follow.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with the overall project expectations and goals.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience and knowledge with teaching/training, instructional design and technology integration.
• A degree in instructional design, educational technology or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of career exploration and educational requirements of various career paths.
• Strong technology skills and experience with virtual reality products would be beneficial. 
• Strong analytical skills of where virtual reality might be the best fit for educational purposes would be beneficial
• Able to advise on educational program evaluation, e.g. design, process improvement, performance measurement (quality, safety, cost, etc.), educational effectiveness.
• Ability to communicate with senior level leaders in educational institutions and industry , but also at times to less technical audiences who may not be as tech-savvy.
• Excellent people and communication (both written & oral) skills.
• Effective organizational, analytical, time management, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills and habits; ability to complete projects under tight deadlines with little/no direct supervision.
• Self motivation is key, working with a small company that is fast paced and remote.

What We Offer:

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between$70-$80/hour for 100 hours of total project hours. This contract position is a duration of up to 3 months.
