The Calling:
As the Instructional Design Manager, you support the Executive Director of Professional Services and will work closely with our Professional Services and Learning Science teams to review, improve and create professional learning content that supports Branching Minds platform users, and inspires improved MTSS practice among school leaders and teachers.
What You Will Achieve:
- Develop and maintain library of onsite and virtual presentations, including synchronous and asynchronous offerings
- Serve as the in-house LMS expert knowing every feature and function, as well as how the platform can help the company realize its professional development goals
- Collaborate across teams to develop and load content within the learning management system (LMS)
- Track/Communicate LMS course completion/growth with districts (via PS/CS Managers)
- Support marketing in the creation of training videos including script, onscreen design elements, etc. and ensure content is updated on a regular basis
- Conduct research of the marketplace of professional learning with goal of ensuring long-term success for adult learners
- Clarify the instructional objectives and challenges related to change and identify the learning environment, existing knowledge, and skills needed to implement the change
- Maintain a strong line of communication with internal teams, subject matter experts, and district partners to ensure that learning information is accurate and relevant
- Evaluate the effectiveness of content to ensure objectives are being accomplished, and measure learner impact
- Drive a holistic content development plan that builds appropriate foundational skills, while recognizing and addressing unique role/orientation needs by school, district or focus-area
- Define and report out metrics that assess learning effectiveness and/or opportunities to leadership
- Develop content strategy; creating content user journeys and build out foundational, educational content
- Contribute to the planning, writing, and editing of marketing materials (e.g., blog posts, whitepapers, one-pagers, and proposals) focused on current issues and trends in preK-12 education
- Delivery of professional development to district and school partners
- Facilitates webinars in partnership with Learning Science and Marketing teams to school district administrator leads and partners
- Develop deep knowledge of MTSS practice and the BRM platform to ensure quality content development and successful learning outcomes
Requirements
Why We Want You:
- 5 years elementary and/or secondary school classroom teaching experience
- 3 years experience creating virtual and onsite learning resources for educators
- Ability to travel 15% of the time during beginning of school year nationwide
- A+ communicator and presenter with attention grabbing design skills for adult learners, both onsite and virtually
- Total superstar at creating virtual and onsite learning resources for educators
- Mastery level knowledge in creating and sustaining a strong Multi - Tiered System of Supports culture, as well as high level knowledge of literacy, math and formative assessment practices
- Passionate about education and ongoing personal learning & development
- Energized by collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to advance learning
- Possess an ongoing desire to learn and grow

- Base annual compensation for this role is $85,000 - $105,000 based on experience and expertise
