Instructional Designer
Job Description
About the Role:
The Instructional Designer is responsible for building and deploying a consistent and reputable learning and development experience for team members primarily the Upgrade Phoenix Service Center. The role will work within the Organizational Development team and must closely partner across the organization to deliver end-to-end planning, guidance, and coordination of training programs with business partners, leadership and subject matter experts. We are a growing organization with several and varied requests to support learning. This role is fast paced and will give you the challenge that you're craving in your L&D career!
*This is an in-office role and remote work is not offered at the moment.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and deliver innovative and creative blended learning solutions, using a variety of methods and tools, participating in needs analysis to ensure learning solutions address learner needs and close performance gaps
- Partner with leaders, subject matter experts to identify training needs that that lay the foundation for our operations team members to be successful in their roles
- Use instructional design and multi-media skills to design and develop new learning materials including videos, e-learning modules, workbooks, instructor guides, and job aids that will drive organizational learning and results.
- Identify ongoing learning needs leveraging business metrics to recommend solutions
- Develop content maintenance routine to ensure learning content reflects updates and changes
- Evaluate current learning processes and offerings to determine if changes are required to assist a growing organization; if changes are required, drive the project to ensure a smooth transition for team members
- Other duties as assigned
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or 3-5 years creating, developing and implementing blended interactive learning solutions preferably in the financial services industry
- Experience with e-learning tools such as Articulate and Camtasia
- Clear understanding of adult learning theory, principles of communication and training delivery methods
- Desire to think beyond traditional training and innovate in the learning experience and design space
- Strong consultative approach that promotes quick ability to establish trust and credibility with members of leadership, departments, and Compliance
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences
- Highly proficient in time management, organization, planning and prioritization with a ‘roll-up your sleeves’ to get things done attitude
- Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-motivated and highly enthusiastic
