The Impact You Will Make
Grubhub's Learning & Growth team is seeking an instructional designer who can partner with subject matter experts to identify and deliver training needs to grow Grubhub's talent.
The right candidate is a creative thinker, design powerhouse, and organized project manager who maintains focus on developing relevant and impactful learning experiences that drive key results in our fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
You'll need to be ready to dive right in - our team is always growing and the training never stops. It's hard work, sure, but we make it fun!
What You'll Tackle:

• Design training & learning solutions (e-Learning, instructor-led, virtual, in-person and self-paced) rooted in adult learning theory
• Set instructional end goals with stakeholders and create content to match learning objectives
• Share knowledge of current trends and best practices while leveraging instructional software, social media, mobile apps and devices, multimedia applications, and internet-based technologies in training settings
• Collaborate with subject matter experts on the design and development of training content, video production and animation to produce sound instructional products
• Manage multiple projects with various business leaders to upskill and drive retention
• Consult on curriculum materials & deliverables to ensure that they adhere to instructional design and learning principles for the appropriate audience
• Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design

What You Bring to the Table

• A degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Learning, Technology & Training or related field
• 5+ years of instructional design and development experience in web-based (e-learning), self-study and instructor-led training programs, with a strong focus on technical (i.e. sales, marketing, tech) and soft-skill development
• Knowledge of relevant course delivery platforms with strong proficiency in Learning Management Systems (Docebo), Articulate Storyline, Adobe eLearning Suite or other similar e-Learning tools; experience in graphic design, including the use of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop; strong proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro or Camtasia
• Ability to design aesthetically pleasing content that is consistent with Grubhub's look and feel
• Strong written capabilities with the capacity to adapt writing style and voice to fit target audiences
• Ability to manage a training project from start to end with a structure plan that includes clear goals, strong outline of content presented in a digestible format and proactive communication throughout the entire process
• Highly organized, flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, while managing competing priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact frequently with instructors, stakeholders, and management
