The Opportunity:

Commercetools is launching a brand new self learning offering to enhance the learning experience of our users. We are looking for a motivated and talented Instructional Designer to join our international team.You will work hand in hand with training specialists, technical experts and our Documentation team to create and conceptualise a wide range of high quality engaging product-based content.Are you excited about new technologies and the future of e-learning? We would love to talk to you!

Please note that for this role, we can currently offer full-remote work for candidates based in the European Union and in the United Kingdom.

Your Mission:

• Develop and design open access self-learning curriculums for commercetools products.
• Develop online learning content in collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Streamline and maintain existing content, analyze its performance and improve it. 
• Train instructors, technical writers and product experts in creating engaging online learning content.
• Be an ambassador for digital training and multimedia solutions and ensure training innovation by evaluating promising future digital learning trends and technology.

What you need to succeed:

• Proficiency in instructional theory including assessment and evaluation
• Significant academic or full time job experience in a software engineering or learning technology field creating content for a developer and/or IT specialist audience ideally
• An eye for cutting-edge, online, interactive, high-quality learning and the ability to implement it accordingly
• Versatile in implementing different learning methods and styles for different audiences
• Proactive personality and ability to take initiative to contribute to the success of our learning content in collaboration with subject matter experts
• Very organized with ability to follow and execute a plan for learning content creation and maintenance
• Familiar with but not necessarily a professional in web centric visual content design, video content creation and video technology 
• Excellent English, both written and verbal
• Nice to have: E-commerce related domain knowledge
