RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate and manage all claims; work with broker to ensure proper settlement. 
• Timely renew all expiring insurance policies; provide all necessary underwriting data to the broker and insurers; manage certificates of insurance and work with existing Evonik programs.
• Give insurance advice to internal clients (legal department, business units) on insurance and risk management matters. 
• Work closely with broker on all insurance matters. 
• Coordinate with broker, insurer and third-party administrator with regard to all Workers’ Compensation claims. 
• Manage the premium allocation process to the Evonik businesses. 
• Manage electronic file database of insurance policies, renewal activity, claims. 
• Supervise the Risk Specialist; provide guidance, and coordinate projects. 
• Participate over Region Fleet Safe Driving Committee. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance or business administration.  
• CPCU or ARM designation desirable or equivalents. 
• 5 -7 years of general insurance experience. 
• Possess sound judgment and the ability to think objectively. 
• Possess organizational skills and ability to execute plans. 
• Adept at managing multiple tasks and competing priorities. 
• Have a familiarity with risk management techniques and concepts. 
• Must be able to communicate well verbally and in written form.
• Must have a high level of interpersonal skills 
• Self-motivated and capable of routinely managing work with minimal direction; excellent follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlines. 
• Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility. 
• Ability to initiate and coordinate projects.
