RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate and manage all claims; work with broker to ensure proper settlement.
- Timely renew all expiring insurance policies; provide all necessary underwriting data to the broker and insurers; manage certificates of insurance and work with existing Evonik programs.
- Give insurance advice to internal clients (legal department, business units) on insurance and risk management matters.
- Work closely with broker on all insurance matters.
- Coordinate with broker, insurer and third-party administrator with regard to all Workers’ Compensation claims.
- Manage the premium allocation process to the Evonik businesses.
- Manage electronic file database of insurance policies, renewal activity, claims.
- Supervise the Risk Specialist; provide guidance, and coordinate projects.
- Participate over Region Fleet Safe Driving Committee.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance or business administration.
- CPCU or ARM designation desirable or equivalents.
- 5 -7 years of general insurance experience.
- Possess sound judgment and the ability to think objectively.
- Possess organizational skills and ability to execute plans.
- Adept at managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Have a familiarity with risk management techniques and concepts.
- Must be able to communicate well verbally and in written form.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and capable of routinely managing work with minimal direction; excellent follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility.
- Ability to initiate and coordinate projects.
