The Brand Partnership team's primary goal is to help brands make more money with no additional effort. We combine the various capabilities of Jellysmack to create impressive brand-focused content. Creator led offerings range from original branded content to editorial integration to premium video alignment and performance marketing. For example, we partner up one of our content creators with a brand and use our data technology to create tailor made, optimized content that benefits both brand and creator. The Role
To complement its extensive programmatic advertising business, Jellysmack is seeking a best-in-class Integrated Marketing Director to support our ad sales team in creating strategic digital advertising and social media programs for brands that seek to tap into Jellysmack's powerful network of video content creators and leverage the company's rich first-party data to drive their business results. This individual must be knowledgeable and experienced in the creator space, with the ability to be nimble and client directed when developing brand solutions.
This strategic and creative marketer will act as an extension of the company's brand partnerships ad sales team to produce custom programs for brands that will be implemented across all social media platforms. This candidate will manage the full lifecycle of a media campaign beginning with developing content strategies that are deeply rooted in insights tailored to each client. The Director will build full go-to-market plans, strategic positioning, and pitch materials that leverage all Jellysmack touchpoints to deliver on each client's business objectives. The Director will serve as 'right-hand' to the Head of Brand Partnerships and manage two direct reports, the Project Manager and the Director of Creator Strategy.
Further, the Integrated Marketing Director will lead the strategic positioning and framing of Jellysmack's suite of solutions and translate that offering into cohesive client-facing offerings and sales programs (e.g., bundles, offerings by genre/category, unique solutions for working with our video creators vs. Jellysmack-supported celebrities; endorsement vs. integration efforts; etc.) You will also partner with the Head of Brand Partnerships in defining our client-facing materials and pitch for our direct sales offering on YouTube and Snapchat. This individual will shape and execute program strategies for emerging brands and Fortune 500 companies that align with client objectives for building awareness, driving conversion, leads or other metrics. The right candidate understands how to concept and produce content marketing and sponsorship opportunities in-line with brand strategies. This person will develop media programs for existing and new clients by researching each brand partner's unique market and target audience. You will oversee the progress and performance of each campaign to ensure work is completed correctly and on deadline.
This candidate must be an exceptionally strong communicator who forges relationships easily. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and dynamic self-starter with extremely high operational acumen and an entrepreneurial itch to make a big impact in a growing organization.
Our ideal candidate is based near the sales team and leading media agencies on the East Coast, preferably in or around New York. With our "agile" work model, the position will report to the Head of Brand Partnerships with a dotted line to the SVP of Global Marketing to ensure alignment with overall marketing best practices.
The Responsibilities
Prepare sales materials and presentations
- Work closely with the Head of Brand Partnerships and entire sales org to determine client needs and ideate techniques for paid social campaigns and branded entertainment with creators.
- Prepare pitch decks for client meetings reflecting a tailored approach for each partner.
- Collaborate with broader marketing staff for presentation design, copywriting, research, and creative ideation for broader initiatives such as LinkedIn and email campaign strategy, and leadership and events marketing preparation.
- Deliver innovative ideas and devise strategies to engage with each client's target audience.
- Shape the voice and positioning of our brand partnerships offering; help take a complex technical solution and craft compelling strategies to tell our story. Clearly position our differentiators from a value prop perspective.
- Partner cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Public Relations, and Event Marketing to build greater marketplace awareness and adoption of our solutions.
- Lead brainstorming sessions with GM, sales, creative, strategy and research teams.
- Develop stellar presentations that clearly communicate campaign strategy and innovative ideas.
Drive Execution of Campaigns
- Collaborate with the sales team from proposal to delivery, helping to ensure successful campaign development and execution.
- Balance demands of multiple brands and aggressive revenue targets, simultaneously activating executions, partnerships and responding to RFPs.
- Collaborate with producers to develop strategic creative ideas that deliver for the brand and delight audiences.
- Partner closely with key stakeholders across the organization including: Ad Sales/Performance Marketing sellers, Brand Marketing, Legal, Finance, Data, Creative Services, Production, Creator Partnerships and Creator Success (account management).
- Manage workflow for all integrations by establishing operational requirements and following up on results. Traffic creation of custom video content with leading creators around the world.
- Secure approval of creative assets with brand partners, creators, managers, and legal (as necessary) to ensure sign off by all parties.
- Build and cultivate talent relationships to streamline approvals and secure greater involvement from our network of video creators.
- Optimize campaigns by educating clients on: audiences, creative process, storytelling, talent, production, metrics and trends.
Measure and Analyze Performance
- Analyze results and adapt plans as necessary to deliver on strategic objectives.
- Assess and report performance of digital campaigns against goals and ROI. Prepare final results summary for clients.
- Share results (quantitative, qualitative and anecdotal) to demonstrate methodologies, proven results and impact.
Requirements
A Little About You
- You have a minimum of 7+ years of related work experience in a sales, marketing, agency, network, or related field.
- You thrive working cross-functionally to ensure cohesive integrated client campaigns.
- You foster strong, genuine relationships with both internal and external partners to galvanize support for programs.
- You are confident interfacing with executive stakeholders (internally and externally).
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that often involves juggling multiple priorities.
- You have deep knowledge of brand marketing, advertising, digital & social media strategy
- You have in-depth knowledge of social media platforms, emerging digital trends and media buying.
- You have knowledge of the social media industry/creator economy; talent management or experience working with artists is a plus
- You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create and foster relationships
- You have strong analytical skills and ability to develop actionable insights from reporting
- You have strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- You have excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
