Integrated Marketing Strategist - Kansas City Metro Area
Job Description
The Company
We’re Tallwave, a digital agency. We’re a curious, competitive group of data-driven marketers, designers, and creative problem solvers who move fast to help our clients achieve their most ambitious goals. We find parity boring, and we’re constantly challenging ourselves to deliver innovative solutions with speed, precision, and impeccable craftsmanship. We dream big, we drive results, and we’ll make a lasting impact on our clients’ businesses.
The Job
Are you someone who embraces an unconventional way of thinking? Do you persevere even when the going gets tough? Are you passionate about teamwork, using a “we” not me mindset? Do you sweat the details and solve problems with thoughtfulness and precision? We are a scrappy, fluid organization and although we’ve been around for over a decade, we operate much like a startup. We are nimble, quick thinkers and are dedicated to finding talent that wants to help us grow the business to new heights. If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!
The Person
Tallwave seeks out individuals who are a cut above. Their exceptional skill, diverse perspectives, obsession for winning together, and relentless pursuit of continuous self-improvement, both professionally and personally, give them an innate ability to lead, innovate, and inspire. They have well-honed philosophies and points of view in their areas of expertise, they think unconventionally, and their endless curiosity pushes them to constantly explore, learn, improve, and try new things.
Our ambitions are too big to leave room for individual egos, and the true measure of our success is what we can accomplish together. Our culture balances individual aspirations and accountability with each other. We value selflessness, humility, and tremendous work ethic. This drives an inspiration and dedication that can be felt across the organization.
The Skills

- Work with fellow integrated marketing and strategy team members to determine audience segmentation, set expectations for end-user experiences aligned to the buyer journey and define channel- and tactic-level KPIs in alignment with target business-level outcomes and KPIs.
- Plan, develop, and execute multi-channel digital campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels to meet clients’ demand generation, acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention goals.
- Collaborate with integrating marketing and analytics team members to assess and analyze campaign performance, identify drivers or detractors of campaign performance, create actionable next steps for optimization, and present recommendations to clients.
- Craft and deliver strategic communications, presentations, etc. to educate on and broker support and buy-in for the strategic vision.
- Drive collaboration across relevant marketing disciplines engaged in Tallwave’s value delivery to the client.
- Analyze, synthesize and report on channel- and tactic-level performance within the broader context of target business-level outcomes and KPIs, recommending adjustments to omnichannel marketing strategies as needed.
- Provide on-demand strategic and subject matter expertise for clients on a broad range of integrated marketing topics related to category, customer and technology (current and emerging).

- 4+ years in a digital marketing/advertising agency with prior hands-on experience with paid search and/or programmatic media buying.
- High degree of confidence with the ability to establish credibility with and inspire trust from clients and develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients and partners.
- Strong understanding of digital media technologies and their capabilities – DMPs, DSPs, Third Party Bid Management Platforms, Analytics Platforms, Ad Serving Platforms, etc.
- Strong understanding of general SEO best practices with regard to on-page and off-page optimization, local SEO programs, etc. and the role of search optimization in overall digital marketing strategy.
- Keen analytical skills and familiarity with quantitative analysis, including A/B testing and understanding of trending and forecasting
