Integration Accountant

EyeCare Partners is seeking an organized and motivated Accountant to join our Integration team supporting both our Optometry and Ophthalmology divisions. EyeCare Partners (“ECP”) is the nation’s leading vertically-integrated provider of Optometry and Ophthalmology services and is backed by one of the world’s largest private equity funds (Partners Group; a $90B+ AUM private equity firm based in Europe and the US). We are seeking a self-motivated, professional individual to join our firm who will assist with the monthly close process for our new partners throughout the integration period. Individuals should be highly analytical, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with our new partners effectively. Responsibilities:
- Work with new partners to gather support and record necessary monthly close entries during the integration period, with guidance from Finance Integration Manager.
- Maintain frequent communication with new partnerships and inquire about unusual transactions to ensure appropriate accounting treatment
- Evaluate actual results on a monthly basis compared to year 1 acquisition budget and work with practice to explain significant variances
- Work closely with AP integration specialist and Procurement Integration manager to identify and transition vendors being paid from historical bank accounts to an ECP payment method
- Assist with year-end audit requests as needed
- Assist with gathering support for net working capital settlements
- Assist with preparation of opening balance sheet for new acquisitions
 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-3 years of public accounting experience, or experience in an acquisition heavy corporate environment
- Experience reviewing budgets/forecasts for new partnerships
- Experience working with or reviewing opening balance sheets for new partnerships
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to explain complex accounting topics to individuals without a finance background
- Passion for process improvements – able to identify and communicate potential efficiencies in the monthly close process to drive improvement
- Ability to perform well with tight deadlines
- Familiarity with SAP a plus
 Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
