Job Description

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, has a new and exciting opportunity to add an Integration Engineer to our team in Huntsville, AL. This individual will be part of a team that works directly with Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Government customers. This position provides the opportunity to work with AvMC and MDA customers on the C2BMC Distributed Training System (DTS Sim/Stim) conducting development, integration, fielding, and sustainment.

Responsibilities and areas of support include but are not limited to the following:
  • Integrate and operate the Distributed Missile Defense System (MDS) framework, weapons and sensor models and Hardware in the Loop (HWIL)
  • Coordinate the development and interoperability of the C2BMC Distributed Training System
  • Maintaining, installing, and planning the current and future releases of the DTS Sim/Stim equipment
  • Coordinate software updates and integration checkout with MDA elements
  • Load, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot various M&S components within the DTS Sim/Stim environment
  • Troubleshooting various tactical messaging protocols such as TDIL-J/Link16, VMF, B-Series, BXS/XML, and ADIP formats
  • Coordinate with team members and elements on troubleshooting, configuration management, architecture, and integration of Blue Force Lay-downs (BFL)


Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5+ Years' experience required
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Security+ certificate or ability to obtain one with 60 days of hire
  • Ability to obtain Linux+ or comparable Operating System certificate within 60 days of hire
    • Proven experience with Linux environment and RHEL commands
  • Rapidly learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to travel worldwide in support of DTS planning, fielding, and system support
    • 5-10% Annual Travel
  • Experience with Systems Security and Commercial-off-the-shelf (COT) products like Java and MySQL
  • Knowledge of networks and protocols
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience tactical message protocols (TADIL-J/Link16, VMF, B-Series, BXS/XML, etc.)
  • Experience in providing briefings and/or demonstrations on system capabilities and architectures
  • Knowledge of Missile Defense System (MDS)
  • Experience with SSF, OSF, OSM, EADSIM, JSAF, MDST, FOXSIM, BOA, C2BMC, GFC, or other real-time simulation
  • Familiarity with DIS, TCP, UDP, and Multicast
  • Network connectivity/troubleshooting knowledge and Information Assurance
