Integrations Developer

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

Herschel Supply Co. is looking for an Integrations Developer to join our IT team! We are developing and maintaining a whole ecosystem of integrations between our ERP system, Ecommerce platform, Data warehouse and other third-party partners, which are critical to our daily operations. The successful candidate will work through all stages of the integration development process. We are a small but mighty IT team and you should be well-rounded in all aspects of integration development and architecture. This is a hybrid role based in our Vancouver HQ two days per week, therefore we ask that applicants are already based within commuting distance.

A DAY-IN-THE-LIFE

On a day-to-day basis, the Integrations Developer will:

• Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle including requirements definition and QA.
• Develop, troubleshoot and maintain code and integration functions using a variety of tool sets including:
  • JavaScript / Node.js
  • AWS platform
  • Various application-specific API’s
  • Databases
  • Data warehouses and ELT tools
• Work with our vendors who provide software and services.
• Find opportunities to automate and improve processes involving data flows and integrations.
• Join project groups and rollouts as needed.
• Participate in other tasks as necessary and as time permits - this might include the implementation of new software, upgrades, staff training, or others.

ABOUT YOU

• 2+ years' experience involving enterprise systems and integration is essential
• Hands-on development experience in JavaScript, specifically leveraging the Node.js runtime environment, and using API’s and developing integrations is essential
• Hands-on database experience including activities like writing and optimizing queries, ETL, etc.
• Experience with AWS platform, with a focus on Lambda, CloudWatch, EventBridge, Systems Manager, and DynamoDB.
• Experience in various integration methods such as API's (REST, GraphQL) and flat files.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of integration concepts, data transformation, data security and data synchronization techniques.
• Experience with a variety of business applications including ERP, POS, eCommerce and understanding of business processes.
• Experience working on ERP integrations is mandatory.
• Experience working on Shopify integrations is an asset.
• Experience with ELT processes and data warehousing concepts is an asset.
• Understanding of business analysis is an asset.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or bachelor's degree + technical training or experience.

The annual salary for this role falls within the range of $75,000-$85,000.
