Summary
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the HQDA G-2 MI Support, Stable Shadow Program at Fort Liberty, NC.

Conditions of Employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two-year trial period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Requires extensive temporary duty (TDY) travel on very short notice, to locations within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS), up to 30% of the time.
- Subject to short notice recall. Must reside within normal commuting distance of Fort Liberty (50 miles).
- This position is considered essential to support Army's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension or mobilization. It is considered emergency essential.
- Incumbent may be required to take part in readiness exercises and training.
- Incumbent must meet requirements specified on SF78, Certificate of Medical Examination, for position at overseas/deployed location and receive immunizations appropriate to the overseas location.
- Emergency Essential employees must be exempted from military mobilization or recall obligations by being placed in the Standby Reserve or other appropriate action.
- Emergency Essential Civilians are required to sign a DoD Form 2365.

Specialized experience is defined as experience 1) producing complete intelligence analysis which is based on multi-domain research and evaluation of intelligence data/information; AND 2) collaborating with intelligence community members, such as combatant commands, inter-agency and joint activities, to produce a comprehensive intelligence product for operational taskings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

- TERM: This announcement is for a term position. Permanent employees who apply, are selected for, and ultimately accept this position will be converted to a term appointment. Term positions in DCIPS may be extended up to six years; however, they may be extended an additional two years with Agency approval. This position will NOT be converted to permanent.
