As Marqeta’s Intelligent Automation Operations Manager, you will jump in to lead automation efforts for the Finance team. As the first person in this newly created role, you will drive forward innovation using the latest technologies. You’ll have the freedom to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency, all while working with a strong internal team of Finance and Accounting minds
We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States or from our Oakland,CA headquarters. We’d love for you to join us!
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the Intelligent Automation function to support business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and define requirements for automation projects.
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to automate business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure that automation solutions are scalable, maintainable, and reusable.
- Manage the deployment and monitoring of automation solutions, ensuring they are operating effectively and efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Intelligent Automation and evaluate their potential to enhance the automation function.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external vendors and technology providers to leverage their expertise and deliver best-in-class solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldÂ
- Experience in Intelligent Automation, with a focus on RPA, AI/ML, and other automation technologies
- 8+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years experience with a Master’s, or 3 years experience with a PhD
- Strong understanding of automation technologies, tools, and platforms, including UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc
- Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
