Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel within the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: Serves as Project Manager, responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned programs and projects. Implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

NH-03 Qualifications:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes executing the planning, design, and/or construction phases of civil works or environmental projects; formulating and/or adjusting project plans, schedules, or budgets; and leading and/or managing a team in the planning or execution of projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.   • Position will be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 Months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
  • Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term Appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term Appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

  • This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 band encompasses grades GS-12 and GS-13 under the General Schedule (GS) system.
  • This position will be located in St. Louis, MO and will allow for occasional telework only. This position is NOT eligible for full time telework.
