About the Team:

The Corporate Finance team oversees all aspects of financial reporting in all its various forms (Management, Regulatory, Audit and Tax). Additionally, it processes all expenses (including staff reimbursements) and oversees cash management.

Purpose of the Role:

Are you an exceptional Intermediate Accountant who wants to play a key role within our growing Corporate Finance team? This role will be involved in all aspects of reporting, including management accounting and year-end external audit. You will provide professional and insightful support to the Manager, Corporate Accounting and the Corporate Finance Team and will look for opportunities to improve systems and processes. This role operates on a hybrid working schedule in Vancouver.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare general journal, accounts payable and accounts receivable entries for various corporate entities.
  • Prepare monthly reports or reconciliations for internal or external use.
  • Prepare basic set of monthly financial statements. 
  • Prepare working papers for external audit.
  • Assist with preparing responses to internal audit committee, external auditors, banks; following up on outstanding items.
  • Collaborate within the Corporate Finance team and other departments to document processes & internal controls.
  • Other relevant and related responsibilities, as assigned and as the needs of the business change.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and are currently enrolled in CPA program.  
  • Full-cycle month-end close preparation experience.  
  • Familiarity with Workday Finance and Workday Adaptive Planning accounting software would be an asset. 
  • Familiarity with SAP Concur software would be an asset.
  • You have excellent communication and writing skills.
  • You have the ability to collaborate, as well as work independently.
  • You have exceptional attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits Package:

This position comes with a base salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
