Your Role in Our Journey:
At Jane we're excited to announce an opportunity to join our Onboarding team as an Intermediate Full Stack Software Developer. This role is open to provide the opportunity to enhance and innovate the onboarding experience for clinics using Jane with a focus on improving customer satisfaction and reducing churn. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values experimenting with new ideas to continuously improve the experience for our customers.
This is a Full Stack Developer position. On the backend you'll be working with Ruby on Rails but we welcome applicants with experience in Java C# Python or Go. If you don't have Ruby experience we still encourage you to apply. On the frontend you'll be working with React Typescript & bundling tools (Webpack ESBuild…).

The impact you could have

Implement changes and experiments across the stack (frontend and backend) to enhance the onboarding experience and reduce churn for our customers.

Contribute to the Jane codebase focusing on in-app onboarding components and key admin pages.

Collaborate with various product team domains to improve the overall onboarding experience.

Produce high-quality well-tested code that ensures a reliable product for our users.

Participate in code reviews production deploys and team activities to support continuous improvement and collaboration.
The experience we feel we need
-
3+ years of experience as a software developer.
-
Comfortable collaborating with design and product management functions.
-
Willingness to contribute in a full-stack capacity based on the team’s needs.

Frontend Focused: experience working with TypeScript within a modern frontend framework (React Vue Angular etc.).

Backend Focused: experience in working on features in a backend technology just as Ruby on Rails .NET Java Go etc.

Able to work well in a fast-paced environment where you might need to run with just an idea.

Bonus but not required: experience working with a growth product team.
Compensation Expectations for the Role
Jane’s committed to paying our team members fairly clearly and above all paying for growth. This role has a minimum annual salary of $95100 and maximum annual salary of $142600. As you may have noticed this salary range is quite large and this is intentional to account for the growth someone will experience in the role throughout their time at Jane (i.e. from building the skills to accomplished to highly proficient all the way to achieving excellence in the role). When hiring talented folks to join the Jane team we’ve found that new team members are best set up for success when hired with the expectation of being fully accomplished in the role which for this role would reflect a starting salary of $112900 .
It's also possible to join Jane at a salary above or below this which would mean a salary below $95100 typically reflects someone who has all the potential to be fully accomplished in the role but doesn't yet possess all the skills required while a salary above $112900 is typically for individuals who are currently in this role at Jane and had the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on our customers product and company with deep Jane knowledge.
