Job Description Summary

As an Intermediate Legal Specialist you will be responsible for a broad range of legal administrative support duties for Transamerica's Law and Compliance Department. You will support a group of approximately 10-15 attorneys from the Privacy and Litigation teams and will also manage several critical processes and collaborate with team members across the LandC department.Job Description

What Success Looks Like:

  • Perform a broad range of administrative and clerical duties for LRP department including but not limited to the preparation of expense reports and booking domestic and international travel (SAP Concur).
  • Manage daily calendars, scheduling group/individual meetings and other events.
  • Locate and obtain documents and information, access various company databases and, as needed, litigation software system. Perform general legal and factual research.
  • Transcribe, compose, and proofread various documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Maintain complete and accurate files/logs/records on documents received and produced.
  • Act as a liaison, problem solver, and facilitator as the first contact for other members in the LRP department.
  • Triage and inventory documents to appropriate departments and persons.
  • Under general supervision, resolve most questions and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher levels. Work within established guidelines and procedures

What You Need:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • One year of secretarial and/or administrative assistant experience, preferably in the financial/insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and document formats
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency using MS Office
  • Preferred: Experience with legal systems such as matter management/ legal research tools, such as Lexis/Nexis.
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint administration.
  • Preferred: Technical interest and aptitude.

It is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.**

Compensation:

The salary for this position generally ranges between $50,000-$60,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

Bonus Eligibility:

This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 6%.
