Job Description:

As an intern in CoreLogic's Protect organization, you'll have an opportunity to help develop software that powers the underwriting workflow for most of the major insurance carriers in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Code, test and debug moderately to complex software
• Application logging and monitoring
• Defect and vulnerability analysis using Veracode
• Creation of dashboards using Kibana and other software (e.g., for monitoring, CI/CD build status, infrastructure performance, etc)
• Technical documentation of APIs in GitHub and Swagger
• Pairing with our developers (and soloing) on Angular and .NET code stories
• Work with team members to understand the scope/purpose of the automation suites
• Work with team member to diagnose, repair, and/or refactor existing tests so they no longer fail
• Work with team members to ensure tests are environment agnostic
• Participates in Internship Program activities and events to include: onboarding, educational activities, information sessions, product demos and social events.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

Job Qualifications:

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program pursuing a computer science or engineering related degree at an accredited 4-year college or university
• Minimum of two years of relevant coursework completed
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative collegiate grade point average, on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent
• Prior internship or co-op experience preferred
• Participation in campus activities related to field preferred
• Demonstrated leadership experience through participation in on-campus activities, educational forums and/or prior work experience

Assignment Specific Experience

• Required: .NET, C#, SQL, GitHub
• Optional: Angular, jQuery, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Google Cloud Platform
• Must be able to read and execute existing automated tests, troubleshoot failures, work with the team to understand intended functionality, and modify tests so they are passing
• Must be familiar with .Net Framework
• Must know how to read/write tests using Selenium
• Must be familiar with NUnit
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation; strong interpersonal abilities
• Solid analytical capability; ability to exercise sound judgment; strong decision making skills
• Strong attention to detail; high degree of quality orientation
• Strong organization and prioritization skills; ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides or equivalent (Microsoft Office software applications, such as Word, Excel, Access, Project and PowerPoint)
