We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for an Intern - Finance (Hybrid) on our Corporate Finance team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office. As an Intern - Finance, you will engage in hands-on, directed work that supplements existing AMA staff resources on day-to-day and project-based work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The intern should have completed the first year of post-secondary schooling and pursuing degrees in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related business degree.
- They should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and have excellent verbal and written skills.
- This person would complete independent work assigned as well as participate in collaborative efforts that may involve Treasury and or Accounting activities in support of the goals of the AMA.
- They would observe and participate in the daily activities of Finance to get a sense of what the job is like.
- They would meet with various Accounting and Reporting areas, Treasury, Tax, Risk Management and Internal Audit to understand the scope and responsibilities of these functions within the AMA.
- Theintended learning experiences include developing work habits and attitudesnecessary for job success; developing communication, interpersonal and othercritical skills in the job interview process; building a record of workexperience and acquiring employment contacts and references to draw from whileseeking post-graduation jobs.
May include other responsibilities as assigned
