Intern, Accounting

THE OPPORTUNITY:
*Must be able to commute to our Global Headquarters building in Chicago, IL (Merchandise Mart) to work onsite at least once a week*
The Accounting intern will gain valuable business experience during their pursuit of an accounting or finance degree. In this role, you will be receive hands-on training within a fast-growing technology company! The result is a more enriched college experience that should better prepare you for future endeavors in the accounting and finance fields.
The hours for this position are anticipated to be at minimum 15 hours per week during the school term, and potentially up to 40 hours per week over summer/winter breaks.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities include:

• Daily Cash Receipts Processing and Reporting
• Cash reconciliation
• Customer Database updating
• General Office tasks-filing and mailings
• Assist in special projects and analysis as time permits

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Skills & Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a related degree or certification from a community college, technical college or university and in good academic standing at time the internship begins.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Effective team player, quick learner, and self-motivated
• Must be able to commute to our Global Headquarters building in Chicago, IL (Merchandise Mart) to work onsite at least once a week

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Experience with operational systems, Intacct or Salesforce experience a plus
• Effective multi-tasking and prioritization skills
• Takes ownership of issues and follows though to completion
