Job Description

Summary:

This internship assists the Badging & Compliance team to maintain responsibility for keeping Allegiant Air in compliance with TSA regulations specific to Criminal History Records Checks (CHRCs), recordkeeping, and unaccounted company ID media. This responsibility extends to CHRC process ownership for all safety sensitive positions, airport SIDA (Secure Identification Display Area) badge program management, and airport parking card issuance throughout the Allegiant network. The intern also assists in the issuance and tracking of employee badges for all Team Members throughout the Allegiant network.

Minimum Requirements:

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Education Details:

Bachelor's Degree recent graduate or currently pursuing degree. To be qualified to apply intern candidates should be currently enrolled in a college or university, or a recent graduate within the last six months with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

•Ability to obtain a SIDA badge.


Preferred Requirements:

•Understanding of general Human Resources practices and processes.

•Previous airline experience.

•Time Management/Organization - Multi-tasking and self-organization capabilities. Shows willingness to assist as well as learning prioritization of tasks. Demonstrated sense of urgency and follow-up with Team Member and candidate inquiries.

•Program Management – Aptitude to learn general HR practices and processes. Ability to be trained on HRIS, Recruiting and Onboarding systems.

•Administrative Skills – Basic proficiency in various programs including MS Office Suite along with an aptitude to learn HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other information and document storage systems.

•Intermediate to advanced proficiency in various software including but not limited to – Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Sign electronic document signature and storage service.

•Relationship and Communication – Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships. Strong customer service orientation.

•Problem Solving – Recognizes that there may be an issue within working parameters and knows when to seek guidance.

•Autonomy – Works closely with specialist and supervisor or manager.




Job Duties:

•Supports the administration of the CHRC program in compliance with TSA regulations 49 CFR Part 1544.229 and 1544.230.

•Assists in the facilitation of FBI criminal background checks and fingerprinting.

•Acts as the primary point of contact and administrator of the company badge program.

•Maintains electronic and/or physical records of all badge property, CHRC applications and results, company badge forms, headcount approvals, and other related documents.

•Reconciles invoices and sends them to management for approval.

•Assists the Badging & Compliance team with required daily tasks.

•Acts as a readily available resource to the business by demonstrating flexibility and the ability to switch tasks at a moment's notice.

•Coordinates and corresponds to all team-related email, phone, and in-person communications, both internally with fellow Team Members and externally with candidates.

•Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by People Services management.

•Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.




Essential Services Provider:

Allegiant as a national air carrier is deemed an essential service provider during declared national and state emergencies. Team Members will be required to report to their assigned trip or work location during national and state emergencies unless prohibited by local, state or federal order.
