Job Description

We are seeking an outstanding, innovative, and creative Intern to join our biopharma team to help in our antibody discovery efforts.  This intern will play multiple roles within the team and will work within a team responsible for antibody discovery utilizing a number of in vitro display technologies, e.g. phage display, ribosome display, and yeast display.  This individual will be primarily responsible for supporting activities in the Antibody Engineering teams.  This individual will work in a small team and report to a Senior Scientist.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in the discovery and engineering of antibody therapeutics
  • Help with NGS sequencing, data analysis and clonal sequence assembly
  • Plan, perform, analyze, and document laboratory experiments in support of antibody discovery and testing
  • Evaluate and support the implementation of new technologies
  • Maintain laboratory instruments
  • Work collaboratively under aggressive timelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • College student in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, computer science or a related field with a strong interest in an industrial laboratory experience.
  • Expertise with molecular biology, including cloning, PCR, mutagenesis, DNA purification, transformation, and experience with sequence analysis using modern bioinformatics tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with protein expression and purification
  • Fast learner with excellent technical and analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative team player with proactive attitude, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
