Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment processes to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand the information needs of different departments.
  • Learn and utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to present data in meaningful ways.
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from different business units.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Industrial Systems Engineering or similar, from an accredited college or university
  • Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or graduate level student in good academic standing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time over projects that span multiple months
  • Solid understanding of basic business concepts and the role of data in decision-making
  • Proficiency with at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with data manipulation and querying languages (e.g., SQL)
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred:

  • Coursework or projects related to business intelligence, data analysis, or data visualization.
  • Proficient in using SQL for the manipulation of big data.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and no-SQL database concepts and data modeling
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database technologies (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, InfluxDB)
  • Previous internship or project experience involving business intelligence or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • At least 60% of time to be spent at Madison campus with some flexibility for remote working days.
  • May require some light travel to support field shadowing or training opportunities.

Accuray Pay Transparency Statement:

Accuray pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Accuray Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, future potential and internal pay parity.
