Summary
This role assists the J. R. Simplot Company's Procurement with sourcing, selection and execution of subcontractors and vendors associated with capital expenditure spend. The role is a Full-time, summer internship. It will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to learn how to implement project procurement management processes and category plans. Activities include stakeholder communication, spend analytics, project development, sourcing strategy development & execution, and contracting.

Activities include stakeholder communication, spend analytics, project development, sourcing strategy development & execution, and contracting.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate vendor research and solution exploration, conduct spend analysis, analyze external market drivers, and work with vendors to deliver stakeholder requirements.
- Assist in sourcing projects including RFP, RFQ, and contract development.
- Implement sourcing projects and operationalization of contracts to realize company benefits with a focus on AQSCIR.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and procurement teams to develop and execute comprehensive category plan(s).
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college or have graduated no more than 6 months prior to start of internship.
- Major in Supply Chain Management, Business Management
- Self-motivated, self-starter.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to prioritize and stay organized.
- Clear and confident communicator.
- Must be a go getter, someone who enjoys tackling difficult tasks.
- Advanced knowledge in Excel.
- Knowledge of entire Microsoft Suite. Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
- Knowledge of Documentum, SharePoint, Captiva OCR reader and/or E-procurement systems is a plus.
