How you'll make a difference:

Support of core instrument designs for the Next Generation Pedicle Screw system. Support and assist the engineers on this system to review surgeon inputs, complete designs and/or engineering drawings, and assist in any ongoing implant testing. Participate in weekly core team meetings and surgeon calls or on-site meetings. Participate in at least one cadaver lab to gain a better understanding of the challenges of transferring an engineering concept to safe and practical use in the surgical environment

Your key responsibilities:

  • Complete at least one design, engineering drawing, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) review for an instrument as part of the Next Generation Pedicle Screw system
  • Complete and assist with at least one product development cadaver lab
  • Participate in at least one COAST or other surgeon visit (observation role only)

Who you are:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Enrollment in Bachelor's or Master's degree program
  • Junior or Senior level standing, or graduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • A basic understanding of CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or NX)
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Engineering discipline of study in Mechanical, Biomechanical, or Bioengineering
  • Prior medical device internship experience - preferred

The anticipated base hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
