Summer Internship Program
Our 10-week program is designed to increase future employment potential for prospects while providing avaluable resource to the business. This Summer Internship will appeal to proactive and self-motivated collegejuniors/seniors with a genuine desire to learn about the energy business and industry. During the internship,candidates will work on real projects and have real responsibilities. NRG aims to help candidates build strengths,gain skills that can be transferred to any workplace, and stand out from the crowd.
Ideal Candidate
This Intern role within the organization is a FP&A Intern based in Houston, TX. We are looking to employ anenthusiastic and driven summer intern to assist our HR department with administrative and HR-related tasks.To be successful as an HR intern, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in Talent Development, Diversity,Equity and Inclusion and Employee Engagement to assist in determining how best to continue to cultivate a thrivingenvironment.
FP&A Intern Responsibilities include:
- Independently prepare monthly and ad hoc reports as necessary including key business metrics reports,performance reports, and dashboards with consistency and accuracy.
- Perform analysis of data and form conclusions/recommendations based on findings.
- Utilize data mining to discover patterns in large sets of data.
- Research ad hoc requests utilizing Hyperion Planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Degree discipline: Business / Finance/ Statistics / Management.
- Must have completed second year of college with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Primary Location of Employment: Houston, TX. Based on placement, location, the schedule of your work week will be a hybrid work schedule: a combinationof remote work and in-office per team needs.
