Position Overview
As a Summer 2023 Fusion 360 Product Management intern, you will help shape the future of how we understand and act upon usage patterns of our Generative Design, Simulation, and Electronics offerings within Fusion 360. This will be a hands on-role where you will investigate usage patterns, engage with customers to gather feedback, and develop points of view on potential opportunities for future investment. You will work with a cross-functional team of product managers, experience designers, software developers, and go-to-market teammates, getting exposure to all aspects of the product management role and the commercial software development process.
The ideal candidate has some technical background in design and engineering with an interest in product management, software development, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- In conjunction with Fusion 360 product management peers, you will own and execute several projects that span the breadth of the product manager experience. Projects might include: gathering and analysis of product usage data, project management, user research, requirements documentation, and go-to-market activity planning
- Work closely with Product Managers to ensure that your work is aligned with and informs their product roadmap
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, and Support on positioning products for customers and solving customer problems
- Work directly with our customers to unearth pain points and understand their most pressing needs
- Communicate with the rest of the company the how and why of features
- The ideal candidate has strong oral and written communication skills, is good at building collaborative relationships , and is a strategic thinker with the ability to make and communicate important decisions
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics, or Project Management with an interest in Product Management
- Interest in learning and applying product management best practices to a variety of user and business problems
- Experience making decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data
- Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team
- High energy, with a positive outlook and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Excited to work closely with engineers, designers, researchers, and cross-disciplinary partners
- Students must be at least 18 years of age
- Students must reside and be attending university in the country where the internship is being offered
- A mix of previous internships, school projects, volunteer and leadership experience are also important
- Students must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data gathering, charting and presenting to other stakeholders
About the US Intern Program
The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. Interns have the opportunity to work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in intern events such as TED talks, mentoring, fun events, and more.
US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes the end of March.

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized base salary between $41,000 and $81,400. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
