Analog Devices, Inc. currently has a position open for a MEMS Design Evaluation Intern within the Advanced MEMS Development group under the Aerospace and Defense Business Unit. Specific job tasks include:
- The primary responsibility of this position is to characterize and evaluate advanced MEMS devices and the corresponding circuit and control systems.
- Measure the MEMS device performance using wafer probe and characterization equipment such as cascade prober, spectrum analyzer, and Labview-based bench test setups.
- Model and simulate advanced inertial MEMS devices (accelerometers and gyroscopes) and the corresponding circuit and control systems.
- Participate in the design and simulation of the MEMS devices with fabrication process interactions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary development teams (process and assembly) to learn how to turn MEMS innovations from initiation concept to production.
Education level requirement: Master's program and above (preferred).
Location: Wilmington, MA (In-person/Hybrid)
Job Duration: Usually 3 months.
Required Qualifications:
The following experiences are required:
- Hands-on experience with MEMS characterization and probe and test development. Ability to use probe/test algorithms to enhance test efficiency, error source debugging, and calibrations.
- Knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Python.
- Knowledge of MEMS characterization techniques and equipment.
- Knowledge of MEMS devices and basic principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with MEMS device simulations using Ansys, Comsol, or other FEA tools.
- Knowledge of basic ASIC circuit operation principles.
