How you'll make a difference:

The major focus for the intern will be to support the Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF) Line Extension Project consisting of a 4-Hole integrated faceplate, locking screws, anchors, and the associated instrumentation and surgical trays. This ALIF implant and instrument system is an add-on to our existing Meridian portfolio that successfully launched in 2023 and is highly competitive in the marketplace.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Generating Engineering Models and Prints Based on Marketing Inputs
  • Collaborating with the Machine Shop and Outside Suppliers to Generate Prototypes
  • Completing Verification Testing in Prove Out Design Outputs
  • Completing Validation Testing in a Cadaveric Lab to Confirm Met User Requirements
  • Generating Test Protocols and Reports to Document Test Methods and Results

Who you are:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Enrollment in Bachelor's or Master's degree program
  • Junior or Senior level standing, or graduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering Major.
  • CAD modeling experience.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) experience.
  • Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering Major from an ABET accredited program. - Preferred
  • CAD modeling experience with Creo. - Preferred

The anticipated base hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
