Intern, Product Security Engineer

As part of the march towards our vision of building a powerful user engagement platform,  we are putting together a world class Security-Team to help secure our customers' data and earn their trust. Specifically, we are looking for a Product Security Engineering Intern to come join our amazing Security Team and work on some cutting edge problems.

What you will do

• Collaborate with our Product Security Engineers to assist in evaluating and enhancing security measures within applications.
• Research and identify new attacks against SendBird’s products.
• Research mitigations to prevent the recurrence of previously identified issues.

Experience and skills

• Knowledge of web application security concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, preferably AWS or GCP.
• Experience with automation using Python.
• Basic understanding of threat modeling.

Bonus Points

• Experience presenting at conferences or contributing to open-source projects.
• Experience with developing security tools or scripts.
• Experience with Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and building custom rules.
• Participation in bug bounty programs or Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions.
• Fluent in English
