Intern - Risk Management

Job Description

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• This internship will target Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Education, Agricultural Communications, Statistics, Engineering, Milling Science, Agronomy, and Business Administration majors.
• Interns are responsible for maintaining satisfied clients by delivering assistance and support to the staff of the department they are assigned to on various projects.
• Begins to develop a current knowledge of futures, options and OTC products that pertain to the department they are assigned to.
• Keeps abreast of new developments in the field their internship is in.

• Maintains a satisfied level of customer service with clients both internal and external.
• Properly handles client requests through responsiveness, follow-up and escalation to a more senior team member if necessary.
• Works proactively with other team members.
• Maintains prompt and regular attendance.
• This list of responsibilities may not be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a relevant program and graduating between December 2023 and August 2024 (entering penultimate year of university)
• Available for a June 2023 start date for an 8 - 10-week program
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
• Strong verbal/written communication abilities and effective interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency
• Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail
• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer

Class: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Physical requirements/Working conditions:

• Climate controlled office environment

• Minimal physical requirements other than occasional light lifting of boxed materials
• Dynamic, time-sensitive environment
