About You

As an SEO Intern, you should be deeply curious about how search engines, and the internet as a whole, work. Ideally, you read a lot of written online content on a variety of websites. Strong opinions on what makes a good website user experience are very welcome. Getting excited about learning what’s behind the search engines we use every day and often take for granted is key.

About The Role

As an SEO intern, you’ll be assisting in all the tactical execution of the three of the major “Pillars” of SEO: on-site experience, content marketing, and links. You’ll also help tie SEO efforts back to revenue through weekly and monthly reporting.

• Site Improvements – Implementing simple yet strategic changes to the goop.com site to help search engines better understand our pages
• Content Ideation – Contribute some traffic-driving content ideas to SEO pitches for the goop editorial team
• Data Pulls & Analysis – Pull data from Google Analytics and keyword tracking tools into our SEO reports to communicate the business value of SEO initiatives
• Project Management – Track SEO initiatives from their inception to implementation, including seeking approvals from other business units, communicating progress, and organizing data inputs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ability to stay organized in the face of complex situations with many inputs
• Able to balance creative, strategic, and tactical thinking
• Familiarity with Excel (beginner/intermediate)
• An eagerness to learn and interest in what makes the internet work as it does
• Familiarity with the basics of HTML is a huge plus

• Type of Hire: This is a Temporary Non-Exempt Staff position
• Compensation: $16.10/hour. Please note that this range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for the Los Angeles, CA based position. Goop, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay the position within this salary range. Goop provides the salary range in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, training, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes. 
• Employment will be for a maximum of 90 days unless mutually agreed to extend
