Position Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer intern (Summer 2023) to join the Interoperability group to help develop and maintain the core components that enable world class data exchange capabilities in all of Autodesk's major products. You will have the opportunity to apply your computer science knowledge and work closely with team members in US, UK and China to solve interesting interoperability problems and develop automation tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement testable, readable, and effective production quality code
- Develop build and test automations for import and export workflows
- Actively participate in team meetings and practice Agile mindset throughout the software development lifecycle
Minimum Qualifications
- Student must be actively enrolled in a degree granting academic institution or accredited boot camp at the time of internship
- Coding and scripting skills in languages like C++, Python
- Strong knowledge in Computer Science subjects especially Object-oriented programming and data structures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
- Keen eye for detail, meticulous and analytically minded
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field of study
- Previous intern/FTE experience
- Expertise using one or more CAD systems like Revit, Civil3D, Fusion 360, Inventor, etc.
- Experience with AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industry and BIM workflows
About the US Intern Program
The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. Interns have the opportunity to work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in intern events such as tech talks, mentoring, fun events, and more. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March.
