What You Will Do

The Sterility Assurance Intern will be responsible for assisting with technical support to various areas of the business including cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of reusable and/or single use medical devices.

• Under supervision, develop compliant testing protocols and guidelines for new product development and product changes of both terminally sterilized and/or reusable medical devices.
• Under supervision, coordinate and complete project deliverables in collaboration with cross functional groups such as R&D, Global Quality Operations (GQO), Regulatory, and Marketing
• Support problem solving, root cause analysis, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements.
• Assist with the development or revision of quality system procedures for CQR Sterility Assurance.
• Med Device Compliance:
• Understand fundamental industry standards, validation requirements, and test strategies which align with regulatory requirements.
• With supervision, create or refine documentation, such as sterilization evaluations, and/or reusable device processing evaluations, per company design control procedures.
• Apply procedures per the Quality Management System (e.g., terminal sterilization, and/or reusable device processing).

What You Need

• Currently working on completion of Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring
• Must be permanent resident of the U.S. or U.S. citizen
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Ability to exercise independent judgment
• Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Proven leadership and business acumen skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills
