Your Opportunity

Internships at Stantec involve responsibilities and work that is quite varied and stimulating.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Become familiar with project engineering design and constructions principles (CAPEX), and asset integrity programs once equipment moves into the operations phase (OPEX)
  • Assist in report preparation and assessments.
  • Assist in data integration with reliance on spreadsheets and databases.
  • Utilize applicable technical knowledge to add value to projects.
  • Strengthen technical knowledge through on-the-job, informal, and formal training.
  • Become familiar with and ensure appropriate reference material is utilized.
  • Become familiar with the applicable oil and gas industry codes and legislation.
  • Compliance with Stantec's EH&S program.
  • Assist Project managers and engineers in daily project tasks as assigned
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships.

Your Capabilities and Qualifications
  • Enrollment in any engineering discipline: or STEM focused major (e.g., data analytics, mathematics, physics)
  • Strong technical proficiency.
  • Sound interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.

The Intern should have a minimum completion of 2nd year of an undergraduate degree program. Related experience in the oil and gas industry will be considered an asset.
