Overall Purpose
This position will assist in researching and writing technical documentation for products, including new or updated content. The position may also research and write Policies/Standards/Procedures for internal business or technical processes. The work effort comprises activities such as writing new or updating existing document content, tracking changes, obtaining reviews and approvals, and publishing approved content.

Essential Functions
  • Work with project stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather the information needed to create required internal and external documentation.
  • Complete work based on due dates and defined scope and milestones.
  • Identify audience for content, then research and translate technical information or business processes into usable content for that audience.
  • Partner with other team members to learn tools, processes and methodologies required for the job.
  • Support standard look and feel for content delivery using defined styles (CSS), templates, and style guidelines.
  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college program within a field of study such as Technical Writing, Computer Science, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Must be able to communicate with various levels of employees within the department.
  • Have a passion and enthusiasm for technology, with a strong interest in writing clear and accurate technical content.
  • Experience with editing, and proofreading content.
  • Must be US citizen or US National only.
  • Background and drug screen.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong desire for quality, attention to detail, and ability to take ownership of assigned projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.


Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
