Intern - Temporary
Job Description
Overview:
This internship opportunity will operate out of our Headquarters in Springfield, IL for roughly 11 weeks the summer of 2024. We will require these two (2) new team members to be onsite Monday - Friday, and to be available starting 28th of May.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Performs legal research and analyzes law sources.
- Assists attorneys in preparation of legal papers and documents.
- Assists attorneys in project-specific assignments.
Standard Requirements:
- Candidates must be entering their 2nd year of law school as of the 2024/2025 school year.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Proficient in LexisNexis.
- Prior research experience comparing and contrasting different state laws is immensely helpful.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at once is critical.
- Basic analytical skills, knowledge and experience working in a team environment, & developing and managing project work are expected
