Position Overview

Autodesk's Platform Services and Emerging Technologies Experience Design (PSET XD) team is looking for an Experience Design Intern to help conduct research, benchmark how other companies are addressing similar customer needs, and work on design concepts for new features.

Reporting to a Manager of Experience Design, this position will work on delivering a richer and more cohesive user experience as we develop new collaboration features. You will work with user experience designers, product managers, content strategists, and researchers to establish and deliver on ambitious goals to bring measurable benefits to customers, as well as contributing to corporate priorities. This will be an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience that has real impact on the company and our customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop a research plan with our Research partners and participate in research
• Analyze customer feedback and present findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with our design team to create new design concepts

Minimum Qualifications

• A full-time student in a field related to user experience design, human-computer interaction, computer science, design research, or information science at an accredited program in the United States with at least one academic term to complete post internship to be eligible for internship participation
• Experienced with conducting qualitative research studies and documenting findings (research for class projects is acceptable)
• Ability to visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity, wireframes or mock-ups to conceptual presentations and diagrams using Figma.
• Clearly communicate ideas.
• Curious, collaborative, accountable, and communicative
• Has a high quality portfolio and can demonstrate measurable outcomes from project work

About the US Intern Program

The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. Interns have the opportunity to work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in intern events such as tech talks, mentoring, fun events, and more. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March

Our Team

The Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) organization enables Autodesk product teams and Autodesk customers to accelerate outcomes by providing a trusted platform of shared and enabling capabilities. PSET XD teams partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to deliver front end web-based experiences, APIs, services, and infrastructure that our customers and developers use to access, manage, and extend the capabilities of Autodesk's design and make software. The Experience Design (XD) team within PSET includes interaction design, visual design, research, and content strategy.
